A DEX Renovated hood may start out with scratches, scuffs, dog eared corners, or another type of damage. This damage usually occurs either during transit or production. DEX will rescue this otherwise rejected hood, and will recover it’s value through the renovation process. Each hood is a genuine product. The DEX Body Shop Technicians will then skillfully repair any damage using OE approved processes and products. Once it’s fully repaired, it will be sanded and primed for paint. The primer, paint and coating products are all premium Axalta products.
Renovated hoods are offered for a broad scope of truck models, primarily focused on Mack and Volvo brands. The availability will fluctuate so be sure to check inventory on the DEX website. Each hood is offered with different finish options:
- Option #1 – Primed and ready to scuff and paint. Keep these hoods in stock at your dealership or repair shop, and have painted as needed.
- Option #1 – Painted shell. Painted per your truck’s paint code, this makes an easy and fast replacement option for your damaged truck.
- Option #3 – Fully dressed. This hood comes complete. Painted per your truck’s paint code, fully groomed out and ready to install.
Each hood is backed by a 6 month warranty, for workmanship of repairs. There is also an additional warranty for the paint itself, offered through Axalta.
